ALL ABOUT CLAY FOR ADULTS: In this 6-week course we'll explore clay disciplines of handbuilding, slab work, pouring and wheel throwing. Participants will be given several choices to select what works for them creatively. During the 6 weeks, participants will select 4-6 projects to work on. Completed clay will be left with us for drying and firing, ready to be glazed anytime during our drop in hours. Ron will be leading this course; first class is Wed. Sept. 11 at 6:30 pm. $210 + tax. AFTER SCHOOL ART PROGRAM: Eight weeks of Tuesday after school creative fun for Grades 3-8! In our third year, we are happy to host another semester of Art. 4:30-6:00 pm, beginning Sept. 10. Val leads the kids through fired arts, mixed media, introduction to drawing, glass lantern hack, and various painting techniques. New projects every year, as we have returning students every session and we love to present new twists on each art discipline. WELLNESS ART JOURNALING FOR TEENS AND ADULTS: A new take on the personal diary. In this four week course participants will learn about the absorbing nature of art journaling, which is great for releasing stress, or processing thoughts of the day. In the first class you’ll receive your own art journal. Each week leader Val will guide you through a new technique to incorporate into your journaling. MEDITATIVE POTTERY PAINTING FOR ADULTS: We’ve heard it before: pottery painting is a great way to be present in the moment, as other thoughts dissolve away for a while. With a pattern, of your own creation, or a stencil, you’ll be amazed about how absorbing this activity can be. We’ll explore zentangle, mandala, cursive writing or printing, and freestyle painting. Participants will make a set of four, food and microwave-safe dishes in four weeks. First class
