DON'T STOP THINKIN' ABOUT TOMORROW

Don't Stop Thinkin' About Tomorrow...

(Ron's Pottery-to-Go observation du jour...)

Hi everyone. Ron the pottery guy here...

Lately, (often when I'm sitting on the corner of my bed staring at the floor with a half-empty bottle of Jack Daniels dangling from my hand... KIDDING! I don't foresee that scenario for at least a couple of weeks yet) an old song continues to pop into my head. Thanks to my wife Sue, a semi-crazed Fleetwood Mac fan, I regularly hear the words to Don't Stop (in red text below; if you're too young to remember Clinton's presidential campaign you can look it up on the world wide interweb...) in our home over and over (and over some more). How true though, that, if ever there were words to take to heart during this unfortunate chapter in our lives, the lyrics below might resonate... At least, like the song says, if "You'll see things in a different way"...

From almost every angle, things really do look pretty bleak right now (I'm an optimist, not an idiot). Still there is some good stuff going on in the middle of all of this. People stepping up to recognize our front line workers, or anyone we see putting the needs of others before their own, that's good stuff. Refocusing on the good health of our kids, or parents or on any of the things that are going right in your life right now, that's good stuff.  So take a minute and ask yourself; what's the good stuff that you're seeing?

For me, in my new role as your AmaRon delivery boy, I'm noticing how some of the most overused, autopilot greetings that we use every day seem to have regained their previous... significance.  Who'd have thought that those conversational gems; the "How are yous" and the "Take cares" that we beat to death on a daily basis can actually mean, "Really though...how are you doing in all of this?" and "Seriously; this is bad. Please take care of yourself." Maybe it's been there all along and I've just been too busy to notice. Stupid ADD...

My wish for you and yours is that now, and when this is all over, we take notice and remember the groovy little consolation prizes we discover along the way. I'll start with my favourite of all - that It's cool to be kind.

Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive of our Pottery-to-Go efforts these past weeks. At the end of a long day it makes all the difference in the world.

Take Care. Stay safe.

Ron

If you wake up and don't want to smile

If it takes just a little while

Open your eyes and look at the day

You'll see things in a different way

Don't stop thinking about tomorrow

Don't stop, it'll soon be here

It'll be, better than before

Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone...

Kim W - you made my day!  - Third only to raindrops on roses and whiskers and kittens, these are a few of my favourite things. Thanks so much...

SUMMER CAMPS 2020

Even with all the uncertainty, we're really excited about Summer Camps this year, with ALL NEW projects, themed days, expanded weeks for the little ones, and, for the first time, BOREDOM BUSTER MINI-CAMPS on select days through July and August.

NOTE: Due to the uncertainty of future health initiatives to control the spread of  COVID-19, we are changing how you sign up the kids for Summer Camp. We are not collecting payment/deposits, and instead have put in place a reservation system. Once we have direction from our government, we will contact you for confirmation that your child(ren) will be attending, and to arrange payment.  With that being said, the structure of our camps may have to change, too. We will do our very best to deliver programs that are beneficial for your kids and follow our health officials guidelines to help keep the population safe. It's best to get your child(ren) on our list, and we'll be in touch  as developments occur. Thank you for your understanding.

Parents, we are rooting for you helping your kids through these challenging days, and thank goodness for Youtube! We found Chris Pine reading "Clark the Shark". Have the kids paint up a matching character, and you've covered art curriculum, too! There are lots of books narrated online, then head to our Pottery to Go pages to see if you can find a matching character to paint! We love our shark box (below) for Clark the Shark.

Clark zooms into school, crashes through the classroom, and is rowdy at recess. Clark loves life—but when his enthusiasm is too much for his friends, Clark's teacher, Mrs. Inkydink, helps him figure out a way to tone it down. CLICK HERE to watch the Youtube video :)

Did you register for a class, course, or workshop? If you did, you're still considered registered!

We'll let you know when classes resume via email or phone.

Refunds only upon request, phone the studio if you are in need of a refund.
