Laura is a CPA, CMA (Professional Accountant) who has spent more than 20 years working for private-owned businesses. With a focus of helping the management look at the financial results and find ways to focus operations to improve results, Laura has always tried to be more than an accountant for her business partners.
Starting in 2015, she was given the opportunity to support the smaller businesses that the founder of her company was operating “as a sideline to the main operating business”. This change of focus triggered a new passion for Laura: Using the skills she learned at large companies to teach smaller companies how to operate like they were already a large company. Laura Bedal With her passion for helping small businesses grow, Laura was inspired to start her own practice. With a focus on small and medium businesses who may not have the time and resources to hire a professional finance team, Laura wants to provide the “PROFESSIONAL CONTROLLER” expertise economically, through her own practice.
Now, I am in the same position as my clients, a small, family business looking to grow.
Laura also understands that as her clients are growing their businesses, there are other priorities - like family - which makes balancing all of the business needs a hard task. “It takes a village to raise a family. The same is true of your family business. I brush my own teeth, but I let a professional do my regular teeth cleaning. Even though I will manage your accounting needs, you will still participate in your financial health.”
Laura and her family live in Georgetown, Ontario. She has been married to Brian since 2001. They have three sons, Jacob and Zachary (twins) and Sam.
